Understandably you will likely be wanting to prioritise getting yourself treatment, however it is also important to think about any sexual partners that you have had that may also be at risk, and to let them know so they can get tested and treatment too.
We understand that the thought of having this conversation can be a bit daunting, and if you don’t feel up to having the conversation yourself then we can support you through this.
We are able to take previous partners contact details and reach out to them explaining that we are calling from the local sexual health service as their contact details have been given to us as someone that may have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for a STI, and we can support them to get the testing and the treatment they need.
We will not mention your name if you don’t want us too. Informing partners helps to keep them safe, and prevents STIs passing on to others.
